Experience

Working mostly with high school and college students, my emphasis is on Study Skills, the methods and techniques to improve organization of time, materiels, and information that can be implemented across a student's currculum as opposed to subject specific tutoring, though many times subject specific tutoring is the most appropriate approach. While specializing in students with language based learning difficulties and/or ADD/HD, approximately 50% of the students with whom I have worked have not fallen into one of those categories. 17 years tutoring experience; Owner, Private Tutoring and Adult ADD/ADHD Coaching Company, Faifield, CT since 2002; Specialist, Southern Connecticut State University, Disabilities Resource Office; Specialist, Attention Deficit Disorders Institute; Landmark School, Prides Crossing, MA.: Chairman, Study Skills Department; Program Director, Pre-College Program; Interdisciplibnary Studies Instructor, Pre-College Program; Study Skills Teacher; Language Arts Tutor; Presenter, Outreach Program; Presenter, Learning Disabilities Association of Texas
