BA in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont, 2006. Presented with the "Outstanding Student in Environmental Studies" Award. English Language Arts Minor. MA in Education from the University of California at Santa Cruz, 2011.
Experience
In addition to my MA in Education from UCSC and BA in Environmental Studies/English from UVM, I also hold a Vermont Teaching Credential. I taught High School English for two years in California and experienced great success as an educator and mentor. I have letters of recommendation from previous employers, as well as students, and would be willing to share these upon request. I am in the process of developing my own Tutoring/Mentoring Program and am looking to build a strong community of students, parents, and education professionals in the greater Burlington area. I strongly believe in an individualized, student-centered approach to education and am excited to support Vermont students as I move forward with my own professional goals. I have a wide variety of professional experiences to draw from as I support your student - from traditional classroom teaching to wilderness therapy and leadership development - and I look forward to working closely with you as we assess your student's needs/strengths and design a plan to build success both academically as well as personally.
